Covid-19
Dear Metric Guests,
We will reopen the salon on May 19th and we are beyond excited to see you. We do realize some businesses will begin opening on the 11th, however, we have made the decision to take the additional week and ensure we provide the safest environment possible. Our services will be somewhat different than what you are used to. Our goal is to maintain your safety, the safety of our stylists and our community. Therefore, we will be following strict guidelines that have been posted by Jackson County. How will this look? We will be shifting the focus from a customer “Experience” to a focus on “Safety and Efficiency”. Beginning May 19th we will begin answering our phones during regular business hours. We will be honoring guests that have a standing appointment or an appointment that was cancelled during the “stay at home” order first. We will be accepting new appointments, however, we ask that you be patient as we adjust to our new shifts and these new regulations.
1. Our services will consist of those that can be performed in a fluid manner. You have the ability to book haircuts and color services, however, if you are requesting a complex color change this is something that cannot be booked at this time. We can discuss this at a later date. You will also be able to book appointments for extensions per your stylists availability.
2. The duration of your hair appointment will change during this transition. At this time, blow dry services will not be offered. This will limit the airflow of germs and cut down on your appointment time.
3. We will sanitize the salon on a regular basis. We will disinfect work stations prior to the business day and between each client. We will also regularly sanitize bathrooms, door handles, and areas of entrance and exit. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the salon. Our stylists will consistently wash hands for a minimum of 20 seconds. Chairs will be placed according to social distancing guidelines. Rest assured you will be seated in a sanitized area to the best of our abilities. We ask that you be patient so we can provide extra time to make this a safe environment for you.
4, One guest per appointment. The exception to this rule will be for individuals needing assistance to arrive safely in the building. Please call upon arrival and we will greet you at the door as close to your appointment time as possible. The common/waiting area will be closed at this time. Please no children as we do not have space set aside for them to wait.
5. Clients must wear masks at all times. Metric will not be providing masks for clients. You stylist will be wearing a mask and will change masks between each client. Metric has the right to refuse service to anyone not willing to comply. We also ask that you bring only a phone and method of payment. No handbags, purses or jackets. We also ask that you pay for services with credit card only.
We know this is a lot to ask. We take the safety or our community seriously and we are so appreciative of your compliance and patience. Our goal is to provide you with the same consistent results in an attempt with meeting the requirements set by our local government.
We look forward to seeing you soon and hope we can give you a hug or high five in the foreseeable future. We miss you all!
Please continue to check our website and social media pages for changes to these guidelines.
Sincerely,
Ian O’Connell
